Jordnära 26″

Jordnära {adj.} /²j’uːɖɳɛːra/
Swedish, literal translation “close to Earth”. But also to be pragmatic, practical and uncomplicated.

In 2026, when the big new thing is 32″ wheels, we decide to go back to the roots and make Adventure bikes accessible – also for those of us who are more down to Earth, meaning have a little shorter legs. There’s few things worse than having to tip-toe a heavily packed bike. Wait there’s one thing worse – suddenly dismounting and banging onto the top tube.

Half of our team at Gyttja is a whooping 1.65m tall and it only made sense to develop a proper Adventure bike capable of serious bike packing that feels safe and comfortable.

What makes the Jordnära special?

Learn about the premium qualities and rugged design that set the Gyttja apart for off-road enthusiasts.

Robust Frame made from Swedish Steel

Crafted from high-strength materials like SSAB’s Docol Tube R8 and Strenx for maximum durability on tough trails. The smaller frame size still provides full ground clearance while you have a low standover height and can reach down to the ground with your feet. A dropper seat post lets you adjust the seat height easily.

Modularity

Also this model comes with a vast variety of options when it comes to gearbox, brakes, suspension etc. All Gyttja are Pinion, neodrives, UDH and DH fork ready, what means you can at any time decide to up- or down-grade your ride.

Ergonomic options

Also the Rider Interface can be highly personalised within the Ergotec product range with different seat droppers (remote and/or with suspension), many different handlebars, grips, pedals, seat, etc..

Tackling the Challenges Enduro Riders Really Face

We believe your Gyttja should be able to go anywhere you want it to, be it the road, through the thickest forest and also onto an airplane.

Modularity provides Freedom

With it’s detachable rear end, it’s highly compact to ship and easy to adapt to any user case. Within 5 minutes, you can disassemble it to a size of 850x800x350mm (Fatbike 850x800x400mm).

Bio or E-bike

You can buy a bio bike today and decide in 2 years that you’d prefer it to be e-assisted. No problem, that is one of the reasons why we prefer hub engines. Of course, it also works in reverse, to downgrade from e-bike to bio.

180kg system weight

While we trust our steel frames to carry more, we have to follow our components’ weight recommendations here.
